Freddie Hamilton is a technology investor and writer.
He has spent the past decade investing in early-stage technology companies, particularly businesses emerging from scientific research. His investment experience spans quantum computing, photonics, AI and compute infrastructure, advanced sensing, energy systems and specialist hardware.
He has invested in companies including Oxford Quantum Circuits, Salience Labs, Living Optics and Brill Power, and has held investment leadership and operating roles in venture capital.
Freddie grew up in Tasmania and studied at the University of Melbourne and the University of Oxford. He is currently completing an Executive MBA at SDA Bocconi.
He writes about technology, capital and the institutions that determine how new technologies are financed, scaled and turned into industries.
His first novel, The Field, was published in 2022.
